Antennas

The antenna story runs from Østerbo in Denmark to Thule, Greenland, and back again.

Østerbo

My first three HF/2 m antennas (2×vertical + 1×horizontal) were, with permission, put up at the Østerbo housing association near the harbour, and put up again when I moved further up the hill — still within Østerbo housing association. The picture is from the last location, 1976. I lived on the 4th floor on the left side, right below the antennas.

My HF antenna was a Hy-Gain TH5DX with a Ham M rotor, which I bought at Thule.

Back in Denmark

I brought my HF antenna home from Thule and put it up on my 10 m lattice mast in Stouby, Denmark. It stayed there for about 13 years, until I bought another house. I never got it back up there, and after a few years the mast and all antennas (HF / 2 m / 70 cm) were sold.

Assens today

Today I live in Assens and operate VHF/UHF, both analogue and digital (DMR).
